Ashley was baptized yesterday (20 Dec 2009), and daddy had the wonderful privilege of baptizing her baby girl. During the baptism, daddy was so moved that he choked with emotions and almost couldn't go one.
ASHLEY'S TESTIMONY
I received Jesus into my heart when I was four years-old. Before I became a Christian, I did not really understand what Christianity is all about. I thought it was just about praying to God and following what the Bible says. Mommy shared the gospel with me and I wanted to be a Christian. And so she prayed with me. I wanted to be a Christian because I wanted to be saved.
The Bible says that everyone is a sinner, including me. If I sin, I move further away from God. The Bible also says that God punishes sinners and they will go to hell. I do not want to go to hell but I want to go to heaven. I read from the Bible that Jesus died on the cross for my sin and will forgive me for my sin.
Now I am a Christian, I know that it includes praying, following what the Bible says but I also want to tell people about God so that they can go into His kingdom. I do not want them to be punished for their sin. In addition to this, I also want to give all I have to God to please Him.
