Got a pair of free tickets to the Chingay Parade from Vernon's cousin. Since mommy normally wouldn't go to such outdoor events anyway (especially now that she is expecting), Daddy & Ashley went instead. It wasn't as hot - actually it was a nice evening.
When the parade started, the lit the fire-crackers - bang, bang bang, bang-bang-bang... it was loud!! Ashley also did the wave and were facinated by the floats and the performancers in their bright-colored costumes. Although it last for only an hours (8:30pm - 9:30pm) we were there since 6:50pm. By about 9:10pm, Ashley looked a little bored.
The evening ended with a colorful display of fireworks right behind us... before it rained confetti and painted the entire stretch of Orchard Road red! Although the party continued along Orchard Road, Daddy & Ashley decided to head home - not before we mingled with the crowd a little, took some pictures and threw confetti at each other (we picked it up from the floor). While walking towards to MRT station, Ashley commented that she'd write her experence in her diary.
What a night... and what a memory!!
